After spending several years in various cities, different parts of the Himalayas, and caves to practice yoga and find the essence of life, he met his Yoga Guru Swami Niranjananand Saraswati, a disciple of Swami Satyanand Saraswati, in Bihar School of Yoga (world famous Yoga Ashram). He came to live in the ashram of his Gurudev at the age of 16, and by his guru’s grace, he could shine forth a true leader and yogi. From thenceforth he has been teaching and guiding others along the spiritual path and has disciples from all over the world. Many have come to him with various mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual problems, and have received invaluable help and guidance owing to his deep knowledge of human nature.

Dr. Balmukund got a medical degree from Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, after which he proceeded to human services such as pollution removal from holy sites, free yoga lessons to the community, care for widows and cows, and a number of others.

He has established different branches of SM Yoga in seven places in India and three in the USA. He has been treating many serious diseases such as TB, Blood Cancer, Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Thyroid, PCOD, Parkinson’s, and Cancers of different types and stages, through Yoga and Naturopathy; he has saved the lives of more than 300 patients from COVID-19.
